For many years I have Loved the Hymns of the Faith and I have appreciated finding out the meanings behind them. The Hymn is so much more meaningful to me when I know the reason it was written.
When I seen this book I was so excited. I love this book. The book is set up as a Devotional starting with a scripture. It could also be used by a worship leader to give the History of the Hymn or in Sunday School. There are 150 Hymns and their stories in this book. The book is separated into sections of Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Patriotic and Other Favorite Hymns. The Author did a Great job in presenting the info with clear concise story form. The Hymn is right next to the History about it for easy viewing of both at the same time. Wonderful book for anyone wanting to find out the great history behind the Hymns of Faith. Great Gift Book.
