As the days are fastly approaching to start a new homeschool year I am starting to think more seriously about what we need to accomplish this year.
Living in an Eastern US state that needs to report to the school district once your child turns 8 years old I need to make sure I keep records about what we are doing in our homeschool.
I found this free Homeschool planner online and I thought I would share it with you.
I do not know how it compares to other ones but it looked to me to be nicely done.
I also took a little time and looked around her site she has a lot of other printables available as well, check it out.
I admit I am a little nervous about the reporting and the portfolio process.
Do you need to report to the school district if you homeschool.
What have you found helpful or benificial in this process?
I would appreciate any advice and tips you have to share.

I needed to report to the district that I was homeschooling and sign a paper. I was careful to only put on the paper what was necessary and did not fill in the "optional" stuff, only because I didn't think they needed to know what was optional.
However, I did not have to keep records or a portfolio. All I had to do was file what they called "A Letter of Intent" to homeschool.
