Oh give me patience when wee hands
Tug at me with their small demands.
And give me gentle and smiling eyes.
Keep my lips from hasty replies.
And let not weariness, confusion, or noise
Obscure my vision from life's fleeting joys.
So when, in years to come my house is still-
No bitter memories its rooms may fill.

Just in time! I was just telling God how impatient I've felt with the children lately...
This one really spoke to my heart, Angie.
Did you write that? It is beautiful, but short enough to be memorable. Thank you!
A beautiful poem, Angie!
Thanks so much posting this. :) Would you mind if I "borrow" it sometime?
Blessings,
Lisa

Those words spoke loud and clear to me. I'm going to memorize this; it's beautiful!

I think we all struggle with "hasty replies", it makes us human. Thank you for this lovely reminder.
