This week we have been doing A week of Thanksgiving study after our morning Bible Time.
I have been LOVING this study (not really a study just couldn't think of that to call it.)
Gratitude: “learning to recognize and express appreciation for
the benefits which I have received from God and others.”

Every Chapter in the book of Colossians gives reference to Giving Thanks to God.
Check these out:
We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you
Col 1:3
Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
Col 1:12
Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Col 2:7
This was my favorite verse. We went into an object lesson about how a pot can overflow when it is boiling.
WOW what an awesome thought to OVERFLOW with THANKFULNESS to my LORD.
WOW WOW WOW WOW
He is SO AMAZING
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Col 3:15
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Col 4:20
I sure want to be OVERFLOWING with Thankfulness to God.
As well as show Thanks to others especially my family.
I think sometimes we are the hardest on the people we love the most.
So many times it is so easy to overlook expressing true Thankfulness to our loved ones.
I want my children especially to see Jesus in me as I model a Thankful heart to them and to others but mostly to God.
Don't forget to be Thankful but most of all Give Thanks to God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

~OVERFLOWING~ with thankfulness to God; I LOVE it! You are so right about it being more difficult to show gratefulness to those closest to us. If my friend cleaned our living room the way my 13 year old just did, I'd be GUSHING with thankfulness. Hmmm...Guess I better go thank my daughter! Thanks for posting this :)
