A handmade item and a Giveaway

I think handmade items in a home make a house look so homely and make your home sing.  I think these towels with the hand crochet towel toppers look so cure hanging on a fridge or store door.  I don't have a pattern for this I just guessed at it by looking at another towel that my mother had made.  If you would like to try making one here is a pattern I found.   I like to have different ones hanging on my stove for different Holidays or Seasons.  It has been a long time since I made one of these but I thought I would give it a try again.  It was actually fun making this.  This is not a perfectly done by any means but I wanted to offer it as a gift to one of my blog readers.
Giveaway will end Monday night November 15, 2010.  I wanted there to be enough time or the winner to have this before Thanksgiving.

I am so thankful for my husband. He works hard to provide, has studied hard to get his grad degree (in May! Yippee!) and still makes time to be daddy, husband, little league coach, fire fighter and friend.

I've linked this to my blog too!

My mother-in-love used to make these too, and it was so handy to hang them over my stove door.

ONE? O.k., lol! I am most thankful for my salvation, because without Jesus life just wouldn't be worth living (after that comes family though, lol!).

Thanks for linking up to Making Your Home Sing Monday.

I am thankful for God's love and care for me especially through the last 2 years when the going has been very rough and I often wondered how I was going to make it and where the next penny would come from to pay my bills but He always provided a way for me. I am slso very thankful for my Christian heritage. It is a previlege that not everyone has but I am so thankful that God chose to give me a Christian family whom I love dearly.

I am thankful for my family. What a blessing it has been. With three of six married and doing well, and three still working/college/single, I see how God is working in them and they are branching out and growing. Love the time home alone now with hubby after 30 yrs of raising kids!

Since my salvation (first on my 'thankfulness' list) God has prepeared and allowed me to serve Him in telling His precious Gospel story. It is a humbling thing to share His truth each day among the university students we serve. I am most thankful to my Lord for this joy.
