I don't know if you are anything like me but somedays, no most days it is a struggle for me to keep my house clean. I know when my house is clean I am happier my children are more content and my dear husband is so pleased. It is a struggle though homeschooling, cleaning. laundry. mothering. etc, etc, etc. It seems like sometimes the list never ends and I will never get done.
I was so thrilled to be able to get to review this book 31 days to clean by Sarah May who writes as Like a Warm Cup of Coffee.
This book is not your typical cleaning, organizing book. When I read some of those types of books I feel so guilty. This books is so much more than that.
I really desire to keep a clean house to bring Glory to the Lord as well as to Honor my Husband.
Here is what Sarah May says about her book 31 days to clean:
I am not a natural when it comes to cleaning. In fact, sometimes I think my DNA is allergic to it! However, I know that if I am to care for my home, and more importantly my family, I need to persevere in creating a clean, peaceful home environment (not a perfect one!).
31 Days to Clean is about the “why” and the vision and the heart for taking care of our domains. Each day I encourage you with some thoughts and ideas, and then we put those ideas to action.
After each days reading, you will be given two challenges:
The Mary Challenge -Something you do that encourages/engages your heart
The Martha Challenge – Specific cleaning tasks
Friends, 31 Days to Clean is a faith journey towards ruling, subduing, and loving. We are forgoing perfection; we are choosing life.
I also plan to join the challenge you can join as well:
I am pleased to announce that I have 2 copies of this ebook to give away.

Feeling overwhelmed! That is the section that is catching my eye. I think if I don't win this giveaway, I will end up buying this book anyway :)

Definitely chapter 22-Developing a Workable Schedule. With only the 2 of us, I get by just fine without a schedule, but I want to develop and get used to one because one day, it won't be as easy to keep things in order as (hopefully) my time will be divided between homemaking and parenting. I'm a follower, and I've added Our Joyful Living and 31 Days to Clean to my page's favorites (Domestically Ever After) on FB.
Day 12 – The Thing We All Have in Common – Imperfection...I need this book!!! This is a battle that I want to win, and knowing I am not perfect is a huge relief! :)
I follow your blog, and subscribed to email.
I would definitely say time! I liked 31 days on fb.
Day 14 – The Secret to Having Energy - having the energy after a baby and sickness going around. Plus a huge move away from all friends and family. Definitely energy is where I'm lacking. : ) It just looks like a great book!

I look forward to Day 10 – Feeling Overwhelmed. There is no doubt that I've been feeling too overwhelmed lately to do anything. A little inspiration or push will go a long way.

Feeling overwhelmed, that the one! I have 4kids and I'm very overwhelmed with trying to keep the house and homeschooled also.
I subscribed via email.
It changes from day to day, but on this particular day, I would benefit most from "I'd rather do anything but clean." I am planning to do this study with my daughters.

Feeling overwhelmed. That's the topic that aptly describes me. There is so much that needs to be done in my house and I never know where to start.

This looks like sucha good book. I saw it a week ago and thought that would be so helpful for so many of us christian women who want to live in the idealic clean and organized home but also remembering Christ in our efforts. It's not about being perfect, but about serving our families for His glory. Definitely going to like and follow you on FB!
All those chapters sounds like they were written for me but the one I think I would most benefit from is confronting laziness. Although I think the time chapter and having more energy chapters would also be important, if I am in a lazy mode, all the time and energy in the world woudln't help me get things done in my house. My tendency to be lazy needs to be nipped in the bud so I can joyfully serve in my home.
Thanks for sharing!
Warm Regards,
Nicole
Every chapter (day) looks so good -- the one that would benefit me the most right now is Day 22 - creating a workable schedule. Please enter me!

I definitely need to read the chapter "I'd Rather Do Anything But Clean"
There are several I could use, but I liked the 10 ways to add life to your home. I am pretty good at keeping it clean and organized, but I need some life giving advice!
It all sounds good, but I think Days 13 and 14 would be especially helpful for me--Fighting Fatigue and The Secret to Having Energy. Thanks for the giveaway!

WOW! This sounds like a great book covering a lot of things! So many of the days items sounded good so the first that seriously caught my attention was overcoming fatigue.

Fighting fatigue is definitely one I'd love to read!
I liked 31 days to clean on FB - and realised that in my previous comment I hadn't mentioned that being tired really affects the cleanliness of my house.
Feeling Overwhelmed is a must read for me!
