31 days to Clean GIVEAWAY

I don't know if you are anything like me but somedays, no most days it is a struggle for me to keep my house clean.  I know when my house is clean I am happier my children are more content and my dear husband is so pleased.  It is a struggle though homeschooling, cleaning. laundry. mothering. etc, etc,  etc.  It seems like sometimes the list never ends and I will never get done.

I was so thrilled to be able to get to review this book 31 days to clean by Sarah May who writes as Like a Warm Cup of Coffee.

This book is not your typical cleaning, organizing book.  When I read some of those types of books I feel so guilty.  This books is so much more than that.
I really desire to keep a clean house to bring Glory to the Lord as well as to Honor my Husband.

Here is what Sarah May says about her book 31 days to clean:

I am not a natural when it comes to cleaning. In fact, sometimes I think my DNA is allergic to it! However, I know that if I am to care for my home, and more importantly my family, I need to persevere in creating a clean, peaceful home environment (not a perfect one!).

31 Days to Clean is about the “why” and the vision and the heart for taking care of our domains. Each day I encourage you with some thoughts and ideas, and then we put those ideas to action.

After each days reading, you will be given two challenges:

The Mary Challenge -Something you do that encourages/engages your heart

The Martha Challenge – Specific cleaning tasks

Friends, 31 Days to Clean is a faith journey towards ruling, subduing, and loving. We are forgoing perfection; we are choosing life.

I also plan to join the challenge you can join as well:

A love that Multiplies - A new book by the Duggars

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are the parents of 19 children.
How exciting their lives must be.

It is so great that they would take time out of their busy lives to write a book like this to encourage others.

They have a brand new book coming out soon

Product Description

In this second book from the Duggars, they focus on the principles that equip them to face life's challenges—drawing from their most recent challenge with the 3-month premature birth of their newest child, Josie. They also share the new challenges their older children are facing as they prepare for adult life. Central to the book is a section on the principles that the Duggars have consistently taught their children. These simply worded principles are basic to the Duggar family and are shared in a way that other parents can incorporate in their own homes. A special chapter on homeschooling gives valuable information to parents who are considering this route or are already invested in it. The world continues to be amazed by their nineteen well-groomed, well-behaved, well-schooled children and their home life, which focuses on family, financial responsibility, fun—and must importantly, faith. The Duggars show how parents can succeed whether they’re rearing a single child or several.

Book Review - How to be God's Little Princess

How to be God's Little Princess. Royal tips for Manners, Etiquette, and True Beauty by Sheila Walsh. Sheila is also the author of the GiGi series.

There are a lot of things I like about this book and some things I really don;t care for.

I love that this book is about Manners. I think it is a very good idea to focus on girls having great manners as well as building Godly Character qualities in little girls. The thing I am concerned about with this book is the emphasis it seems to give about self beauty and image. As a child of God we are to put God first then others and then self.

Some great aspects of the book I really liked:
I liked that it teaches girls to set the table and proper place settings.

I like that it talked about having a good attitude.

Also the importance of good friendship
Some things I did not really care for:

One thing is about wearing the right kind of Tiara

Another thing is how to wave like a princess.

I think there are so many other more important aspects that I think Godly parents should encourage in their daughters above all the princess stuff work on being Christ like and building Character.

I received this book free for review from Thomas Nelson  The opinions posted here are my own.
