Roses and Teacups

I have a big light pink rose bush in my yard that has been here since my Great Grandmother lived here.  I believe she originally planted it.

I love roses especially pink ones and I love tea.

So I thought it would be so cute to display some roses in the beautiful rose tea cup that I got for mothers day.

Just get out a pretty tea cup, put a little water in the bottom, cut some roses off put the roses in the tea cup with the water and set them on a beautiful doily on your table (or wherever you would like) as a lovely centerpiece.

I love making my home into a haven just adding little things like this addds so much beauty to my home.  It does not have to cost much to add special touches to a home.
The Lord is so good to create such Beauty in Roses.

Decorated Easter Basket + Coloring Easter Eggs

I decorated this cute little basket with a pink Lace Rose I made.
We filled the basket with some pink and green dyed eggs.
Egg Dying Tutorial:
Supplies:
Hard boiled Eggs (Cooled)
1 Coffee Mug for each color you want to do
1/2 cup of water in each mug
Food coloring 10 to 20 drops of each color
1 Tbsp of Vinegar
Put Food Coloring and vinegar into water
Newspaper (on table in case of spills)
(I am so glad I put this down first or my table would probably be green)
Spoons
Paper Towels (For laying eggs on to dry)

Put your egg in a pan covered with water.
I use lukewarm tap water.
You don't want hot water it may crack your eggs.

 When your water starts to
boil cook eggs for 10 min.
Cool eggs.

Carefully put the eggs in the dye with a tablespoon.

Every once in a while check the eggs by seeing how dark they are.
While we were doing this together we had a little talk time how the egg represents life and that through Jesus we can have new life.
The Bible tells us to train our children while they are young.

The longer you leave the egg in the dye the darker it will get.

After you remove the egg from the dye, dry it off with a paper towel and then lay it on a paper towel to dry.

After eggs are completely dry place them in a cute decorated basket.
This makes a festive centerpiece for your table.

Little Homemaker project Baby Wipes, Wash cloths, wipe up cloths etc.

Baby Wipes, Washcloths, Wipe up cloths etc.

Flannel works so nice for these cloths

Choose some cute fabric of your choice
My cloths were about 9 inch by 10 inch finished.
You will want to cut them slightly more so you can have some for the seams.

Fold the fabric in half putting the right sides together.
On the wrong side of the fabric sew the open seams together.
Leave a small open place so you can turn the fabric around.

Turn fabric around through open slot.

Cut the corner straight being careful not to cut past the stitches.
This will help the corners to lay flatter.

Carefully poke the corners so they get straightened out.

After you have it all laying nice and flat top stitch it all around the outside.

All done.

These make a great gift for a baby.
They can be used for baby wipes or wash cloths.
Cloth diapering mothers will appreciate a gift like this.
We use them as wipe up cloths around the house as well.
It makes cleaning fun for little homemakers.
Do you have a little girl you are molding into a little homemaker?
Let your little homemaker pick out some fun fabric that she likes, they can be her special cleaning or dusting cloths.

Lace flower decorations

I guess I really don't know what to call these.
They are so cute and can be used for many different things.

Use some wide lace and make a little fan out of it.
Tie it together with a ribbon about 2/3 from the top of lace.
You can use ribbon roses.
Beads
Ribbon to make bows

I really love lace and girly things.

These could be used in many ways
decorations, hair bows. bows on packages, Christmas tree ornaments, etc
I even think they would be cute made into napkin rings.
Use your imagination and go create.
